01. Immediate Post-Procedure Care
- Sun Protection: You must avoid direct sun exposure immediately after the procedure. Daily application of SPF sunscreen to the treatment area is required. Using a moisturizing sunscreen lotion with SPF 40 is a recommended way to keep the area hydrated while protecting the skin.
- Touching & Sanitation: Avoid touching the treated area for the first 48 hours. If contact is necessary after this period, ensure your hands are thoroughly cleaned.
- Thermal Management: On the first day, you may use ice packs or cool compresses to reduce initial swelling and help the skin from feeling hot.
02. Clinical Expectations & Effects
- Immediate Sensations: You will likely look and feel as though you have a moderate sunburn immediately after treatment. Your skin may maintain a pink or reddish hue (erythema) for 1–3 days. Small needle marks may be visible momentarily but will typically disappear within the same day.
- Remodeling Phase: Your skin may crust or peel for 2–7 days depending on the treatment settings. Some slight swelling and superficial bruising around the eyes may also occur.
- Protocol Recommendations: For optimal clinical results, it is recommended to complete between 1–3 sessions. Our practitioners will assess the specific treated area to discuss your bespoke plan.
03. Activity & Product Restrictions
- Cosmetics: Makeup application can be resumed 1–2 days after the treatment.
- Active Ingredients: Wait five to seven days after treatment before resuming the use of Retinols.
- Environmental Factors: Avoid hot tubs, saunas, and gym activities. Prolonged exposure to sweat on the treated area can cause adverse clinical reactions during the recovery period.
